IAFF 781 Good & Welfare Corporation proudly serve the Brothers and Sisters of Local 781 and contributing to the improvement of the community we serve. The Good & Welfare Corporation are proud to have donated over $100,000 to local charities, scholarships for local high school students pursuing careers in public safety, and partnering with the Community Services League.
Stop, Drop, and Shop with a Firefighter
IAFF Local 781 is proud to sponsor our Stop, Drop, and Shop with a Firefighter. Area school children selected by the Indpendence School District are are given $100 and paired with Independence Firefighters to shop during Christmas. “Our hope and intent is to allow the children to become familiar with members of the fire department while also giving them a chance to get something for themselves they may otherwise not have been able to afford.”
Annual IAFF Local 781 Good and Welfare Golf Tournament
Our Annual IAFF Local 781 Good and Welfare Golf Tournament helps to raise money for area high school students pursuing careers in public safety. Through this event over the past 9 years we have raised over $25,000 for area students.
